Why is the Australian teen social media ban getting such an extraordinary amount of media coverage in Ireland?
For the record, I think it should be up to parents not the state to decide if kids should use social media, but what I find absolutely extraordinary is, the amount of media coverage RTE etc are giving something that is happening on the other side of the globe that has absolutely no relevance to Ireland. It reminds me of their obsession with New Zealand in 2020.

Because it's a great idea and a lot of people sympathise with it. Hopefully, it spreads.
